Jay and his family moved to Staunton in early 2020 to help plant Restoration. Before entering vocational ministry, Jay worked for 15 years in the bar and restaurant business. After coming (back?) to faith in 2011, he started attending Church of the Resurrection in Washington DC. Over the next two years at Rez, Jay felt called to seminary and ministry. He served as a pastoral intern and deacon at Church of the Resurrection, and then as a church planting curate at Church of the Apostles in Raleigh, North Carolina. Jay holds a B.A. in English Literature from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, and a M.Div. from Reformed Theological Seminary DC. He and his wife Elizabeth have one son and one cat.
